TOUR ITINERARY

Touch down at the Kilimanjaro International Airport where your own personal driver will be waiting to greet you. Let your driver whisk you away to your chosen hotel in the bright and bustling city of Arusha – gateway to Tanzania.

Arusha is the beating heart of the wild – the last port of civilization before heading out into dense jungles and rich savannah plains. The markets of Arusha burst with color, and throng with locals picking up their weekly wares. The numerous cafes sell dark and deliriously good coffee from the plantations, and close by the infamous National Park lures visitors in to explore her evocative Maasai culture and exotic flora and fauna.

Today you can relax in Arusha, enjoy a quick de-briefing about your trip, recover from your journey, and soak up the vibrant atmosphere of Africa.

Here you will visit the community in Arusha, Tanzania’s capital city, with events including visiting a local Maasai market, the Snake Park at the outskirts of Arusha, and a children’s orphanage. In the late afternoon or evening, you’ll return to your hotel for rest, dinner, and a good night.

After breakfast, you’ll be met by your professional driver guide, who will give you quick briefing, after which you’ll travel east to Arusha National Park. This small but beautiful Tanzanian National Park is the neighboring to both the famous Arusha “safari town” (30 km) as well as the Kilimanjaro International Airport, making it ideal for day safaris and tours. Not only is the animal life in the park abundant, but it is also one of the most gorgeous and varied parks in Tanzania.

The park’s three most significant features include the rugged Mount Meru (Tanzania’s second highest peak at 4566m), the notably different colored Momela Lakes, and the 3km wide Ngurdoto Crater, which was formed about fifteen million years ago! You’ll have lunch at the Momela view picnic site and have an exciting morning walking and afternoon game drives, to both the Momela Lakes and the Ngurdoto Crater. The park’s wildlife includes African buffalos, elephants, hippos, giraffe, warthogs, antelopes, zebras, blue monkeys and sometimes a rare leopard or hyena. In the late afternoon, you’ll head back to your accommodation in time for dinner.

After breakfast you will be greeted at your accommodation by your guide who will brief you about safety in the parks whilst on safari. You will then depart for your first day of safari and make your way to the picturesque Tarangire National Park for an adventure packed day of game driving. You will reach your accommodation in time for you to settle in and enjoy a lunch. In the afternoon you will enjoy an afternoon game drive.

Tarangire National Park is dominated by the perennial Tarangire River and is characteristically known for its giant baobab trees that stretch and wind their branches into the blue sky. The most spectacular feature of Tarangire is its large elephant population. In fact, it has the largest population of any park in northern Tanzania. These gentle giants abound in excess of 3,000. Tarangire is currently experiencing and elephant baby boom and you will notice a lot of juniors and babies as members of the herd. Also expect to see zebra, eland, mongoose, giraffe, bushbuck, hartebeest, dik-dik, impala, warthog, and reedbuck. Primates you may encounter are olive baboon, velvet monkey and bush baby. Many carnivores are abundant throughout the park such as lion, leopard, cheetah, hyena and jackal

On your way to Lake Natron which is the seasonal breeding site for millions of lesser and greater flamingos which migrate here. On your way, you will visit Maasai villages, and after an hour, you will be at Engaruka village where you will have a brief stop to visit the Engaruka ruins. These are the ruins of an ancient and mysterious city with irrigation canals that are believed to be more than five hundred years old. Later you will be on your way again to Lake Natron. You’ll arrive in time for lunch. Take a short rest before going for a walk at the Lake and contingent on water levels you can take a dip or go for a boat ride. You will have the opportunity also to walk up the Ngaresero River to the waterfalls. You are very likely to encounter monkeys and baboons along your walk. In the evening, you can watch the sunset at Lake Natron.

Today’s activities will start with another walk to the lake if you wish, and afterward, you’ll leave for the Serengeti National Park. You’ll cross the Loliondo Game Controlled area where the wildebeest’s herds stampede in November and December. After registering at Klein’s Gate, you will go for a game drive in the vast plains of the Serengeti National Park (on your way to the lodge) where you will get the opportunity to see plenty of animals and bird life.

After enjoying a picnic lunch, you’ll be eager to pursue some more great wildlife spotting opportunities in this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Set in the grasslands, savannahs, woods and mountain scenery, which creature will show itself next? These ‘endless plains’ are home to elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, cheetah, hippo and crocodile the adventure has truly begun. At the end of the afternoon, exhausted and exhilarated, it’s back to your chosen accommodation for dinner and to talk about the many fantastic experiences you’ve had today

After breakfast in the morning you will start game drive in the eastern, southern or north part of the park. The aim is to get you within a comfortable driving distance of the massive herds. This does depend on the annual rains. Guides will always try to get you as close as possible, but should the herds not appear when expected, there is plenty of resident game.

Optional activities: Hot air balloon safari

On this day, Experience the wildlife of Serengeti National Park in a new, unique way. Wake up early to catch the sunrise, as you silently fly over the plain of Serengeti National Park. Admire the heads of wildebeest, buffaloes, and elephant and enjoy the Serenetranquility of the bush Africa.

You will take off early at down around 5:00 for a flight that lasts for approximately 1 hour. Rise as the sunrise and float in whatever direction the winds of the morning takes you. Fly higher than the trees and hills and enjoy the best Tanzania, with many great photo opportunity of the scenery and wildlife below.

After a smooth landing you can celebrate this amazing adventure with a Bush Breakfast “Out of African Style” and followed by glass of champagne – your driver will pick you up for your full-day game drive.
Price for balloon safari is US$ 550 per person

The stirring sounds of Africa will rouse you from your sleep. You make the most of it by 8:00 start heading for your morning game drive section, later afternoon the adventure continue when you travel to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. In Serengeti there is always something new to experience and see. With more than 2million herbivores and many more predators, and the changing of seasons and natural light, with the help of driver guide you sport as many more species as possible, teaching you about their fascinating habit and habitats. After lunch in the picnic is time to drive to another African Africa spectacular wildlife setting, the world famous Ngorongoro Crater. On the arrival, settle in the accommodation while a test, hot dinner is prepared for you.

At sunrise, we descend 600 meters into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most densely crowded African wildlife areas in the world and is home to an estimated 30,000 animals including some of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhino. Animals that you may find in the crater include wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo and elephant. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park is the dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. Tour the Lerai Forest with its yellow-barked acacias, searching for giant-tusked elephant, rare black rhino and black- mined lion. Bird lovers can view flamingo and other species, which share the shallow waters with a big game. You may also see Maasai herdsmen and their cattle the crater is in their territory, and the Maasai continue to coexist with wildlife as they have for centuries.
Stop for a picnic lunch near the hippo pool and watch resident hippos bobbing in the river. Ascend the crater in the afternoon depart to your accommodation in the carter rim.

Depart for some Cultural visits in the area. Lake Eyasi is the home of a hunter-gatherer tribe known as the Hadzabe who have withstood the progression of westernization, and still live their ancient way of life; hunting animals and gathering fruits and tubers for food. The Hadzabe are a small ethnic group that has been able to co-exist harmoniously with nature. You will also have the chance to meet the Datoga people, another small tribe with a rich cultural heritage. Lunch will be served at the camp. Late in the afternoon, drive to Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Today you will have morning breakfast before transfer to airstrip for your flight to spice island of Zanzibar to explore the best of Zanzibar beach special, secret touch.Looking for flawless palm-fringed beaches, coral reefs indented with creeks and mangroves, and warm aquamarine waters beaded with tropical islands.

The turquoise Indian Ocean is so clear that even without diving into its warm embrace you can glimpse flashes of bright reef fish and jewel-toned anemones: and these are just a tiny portion of the rich marine life living on the coral reef. It’s no wonder therefore that this coastline is a mecca for honeymoon snorkelers and divers from around the world. Added to the mix is a heady combination of African, Arabian, Persian and Indian cultural influences, the heritage of centuries of traders blown in on the trade winds.

Enjoy your own private tropical escape retreat. The elegant resort that make up for retreat are set high with uninterrupted Indian Ocean views. With its secluded location and dedicated private butler, the resort is considered one of the most exclusive choices of accommodation on Zanzibar Island.

Spend night at your lovely hotel in a garden by the sea, just in the white sand beach.Bathe in the sea or in the clear blue swimming pool above the beach. Try your dhow trips to nearby sandbars and islets or your kayaks and paddle through the nearby mangrove glades. Visit all the sights of Zanzibar – you can arrange any trips for you after your arrival, there is no need to book in advance. Return in the evening to peace and tranquility, relax with a sundowner in the Mangrove Bar above the ocean. Sample the cuisine of your restaurant for relaxed lunches and candlelit dinners.

Your last day at Zanzibar Island. Depending on your arrangements, spend the last morning in your beach paradise before transferring to the airport for the next leg of your journey.
